HOW TO INSTALL NX 7.5 IN WINDOW 7 x86/x64 bit:
HOW TO INSTALL NX 7.5
IN WINDOW 7 x86/x64 bit:
1. Open
the NX 7.5 folder and click on LAUNCH application.
2. In
LAUNCH, first setup the NX 7.5.
3. In
NX 7.5 folder, copy the MAGNITUDE folder and paste into desktop.
4. Open
the MAGNITUDE folder, select the version (x86/x64 bit) and extract the files
from winrar/zip file.
5. Copy
the license file as UGS.dat and paste into C-DRIVE.
6. Now
run the NX LICENSE SERVER, after completion of setup it will ask license file (C:\ugs.lic/ugs.dat)
show the path and click next.
7. Now
go to the LMLTOOL (Start-All programs-UGS NX 7.5-NX licensing tool-LMLTOOL.)
8. In
LMLTOOL, copy the Ethernet address such as 0e459231e9 and Host name such as
computer name-Computer-pc.
9. Go
to MAGNITUDE folder, open UGS.dat/UGS.lic file in Notepad and EDIT.
Ex: SERVER "Ethernet address" ID=20100510
28000@Computer-pc
10.
Save the license file.
11.
Open NOTEPAD (start-run-notepad) and save as
“ugslicensing.log” file.
12.
Now open the MAGNITUDE folder, and copy
program files and paste into C-drive-UGS.
13.
Now copy the UGS.dat and
ugalicensing.log file and paste into path (C:\Program Files
(x86)\UGS\UGSLicensing).
14.
Now copy the whole things from
UGSLicensing folder and paste into path (C:\Program Files (x86)\UGS\NX
7.5\UGFLEXLM).
15.
Now go to the MAGNITUDE folder, and copy
the content from “32bit folder” and paste into path (C:\Program Files
(x86)\UGS\NX 7.5).
16.
Open the LMLTOOL (start with RUN AS
ADMINISTRATOR)
First
remove all the server (REMOVE SERVICE)
and start with new one,
Path
to the lmgrd.exe file=C:\Program Files (x86)\UGS\NX 7.5\UGFLEXLM\lmgrd.exe
Path
to the license file=C:\Program Files (x86)\UGS\NX 7.5\UGFLEXLM\(ugs.lic/ugs.dat)
Path
to the debug log file=C:\Program Files (x86)\UGS\NX 7.5\UGFLEXLM\ugslicensing.log
And
click on SAVE SERVICE, and also click on (start server at power up and use
service=on)
17.
Goto the Start/Stop/Reread service, first
click on STOP SERVER then press START SERVER (Start server successful in below
tab) and then REREARD LICENSE FILE (Reread license file succefully in below
tab).(Note-This procedure is mandatory when you open your Desktop/Laptop).
18.
Close the LMLTOOLS
19.
Open the NX 7.5 and ENJOY.

MSC NASTRAN installation in windows7 (x32 and x64 bit)
HOW TO INSTALL MSC NASTRAN (COMBINATION
OF 2007 AND 2010) IN WINDOW 7:
STEPS:
1.
First
create License file using MSC_CALC_2010 application (in MSC NASTRAN 2010).
2.
Copy
the license.dat and paste into
C-Drive.
3.
Setup
the MSC NASTRAN (MSC NASTRAN 2007).
4.
Show
the License path before finish MSC NASTRAN setup.
Ex: C:\license.dat
5.
If
anything asked during Installation say NEXT and OK.
6.
Now
setup the MSC LICENSE (in MSC NASTRAN 2010).
7.
Show
the license path,
C:\MSC.Software\MSC.Licensing\11.6\license.dat
8.
Now
close all tabs.
9.
Goto
start-program files-MSC. Software-MSC. Licensing 11.6- Flexlm Licensing tool
(right click mouse button and say RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR)
10.
Appear
tab as LMLTOOLS by Acresso Software Inc.
11.
Go
to “Config Services” tab,
Path to the
lmgrd.exe file=C:\MSC.Software\MSC.Licensing\11.6\lmgrd.exe
Path to the
license file=C:\MSC.Software\MSC.Licensing\11.6\license.dat
Path to the
debug log file=C:\MSC.Software\MSC.Licensing\11.6\lmgrd.log
12.
Move
on to “Start/Stop/Reread” tab,
·
First
stop the server-STOP SERVER
·
Then
start the server-START SERVER( Successful )
·
Then
reread the server-RE-READ LICENSE FILE ( Re-Read License Successful)
13.
Close
the LMLTOOL tab and open the MSC NASTRAN.exe file

Acceleration Vs frequency graph
Hello guys, I need help to do Large mass method using SOL 111, I did modal analysis and I got these rigid and flexible mode,(Units in milimeter, tonns and seconds)
i.e., 00, 15.2, 25.4, 26.2, 27.3, 31.7, 40.9, 41.2, 42.6, 43.7 Hz
I used these cards like
Tabled card: TABLED1 (x1=0,y1=1 and x2=50,y2=1)
Damping card: TABDMP1 structural damping G, (f1=0,g1=0.06 and f2=0,g2=0.06)
Frequency card: FREQ1 (f1=0, df=0.01 and ndf=500), can I add other freq like FREQ3, FREQ4 for excitation frequency?
dynamic load card: RLOAD2
Force: DAREA (F=1e+06 N)
Large mass; CONM2 (M= 1e+06 tonn/kg)
Output request; ACCELERATION(SORT2, PLOT,PHASE)= ALL
My problem is, when I attached springs at four corners and did for modal frequency response analysis using SOL 111
then the rigid and global modes are, 0.0, 1.10, 1.37, 1.52, 15.5, 25.5, 26.4, 27.5, 31.7, 40.9 Hz.
Fundamental freq like 1.10, 1.37 and 1.52, Here my model start vibrating but after when it come to 15 Hz just spring move up and down there is no response on my model, why?, when I look for acceleration at particular nodes it shows in y-direction it start with 0.01 mm/sec2.
model description:
mass=1.478 tonn
spring stiffness, front = 38 N/mm
Rear = 35 N/mm
I used spring element as CELAS2 element
BULK DATA: AUTOSPC =YES
PARAM POST = -1 or I add any other parameters
so how to get model response above 15 Hz?
